Amazing Friends!

Meet Chris & Tina!  Over the past 3-4 years we have come to be pretty darn good friends.  Chris is a powerlifter and Tina is always by his side being his biggest cheerleader.  Her thing is running, more power to ya Tina!  I would rather eat worms than run that far.  They live in Rifle, just the other side of Grand Junction. .

Besides powerlifting, we all have tons in common.  Our guys, Dan & Chris, are the handiest men EVAH!  Come on, how many people do you know that can jump a dead battery in the middle of the Moab Desert with a 4 way lug wrench?  Seriously.

Tina is from Kansas but is a true Southern Belle at heart.  She lived in South Carolina for a while and L-O-V-E-S the South.  We have had some discussions about exactly how fast we could get our houses packed up to move back to the land of no snow.  I think we could git er done in less than 24 hours!  We both loathe and I mean really loathe the cold weather.  Give us the beach any day!

We were lucky enough to see them twice in the past few weeks.  They stopped by on their way out to Kansas and then tonight we were able to spend a few hours over a good meal.  I could go on and on about them but I will just say that they are what I call  "good people".  I get so excited when I hear they are coming over the mountain for a visit!

Your Southern Belle's perspective:  Everyone needs someone they can call their friends.  True friends that will be with you for a long, long time.  I think Chris & Tina are those friends for us.  I hope you are lucky enough to have a Chris & Tina in your life!

Sweet and charming, right?

Isn't that what most people think of when they think of Southern Belles?  With some inspiration from bloggers I know, I have decided to embark on my own blog.  I will give you my sweet and charming view of living life outside the Deep South.  The longer I live outside the South, the more I realize how much of a Southern Belle I really am and that I am misplaced, or as the blog title might read...Ms. Placed.  Follow the antics of my teaching middle school, raising a wild (but sweet) four year old, being a wife to a yankee (I know, can you believe it?!), owning a gym, and being a competitive powerlifter.

If you follow along you just may read a post or two with a "bless her heart" a "y'all" or even a "fixinta."

So, my perspective on starting a blog?  It's gonna be interesting to say the least.
